Sometimes the best love stories begin when you least expect them — and sometimes, they find their way back when the timing is finally right.

We first dated in 2017, two people with big dreams and full lives ahead of us. Though life briefly took us in different directions, the story wasn’t finished — it was simply waiting for the right chapter.

In 2023, what felt like a small, almost random decision led us back to each other. A message. A laugh about the past. A spontaneous decision to take a weekend trip to Reno while we both happened to be off from our demanding careers at the exact same time.

On the drive there, we laughed harder than we ever had before. We joked that this would be our “last first date.” When the song “Take My Name” by Parmalee came on the radio, Sean turned it up and said he was dedicating it to Katelyn — because one day, she would take his last name.

In that moment, something felt certain.

From there, our story unfolded in its own beautiful order. We got engaged later that year, welcomed our two babies in 2024 and 2025, and spent these years fully embracing the life we were building — rooted in faith, family, resilience, and a deep commitment to one another.

What started as two separate journeys has become one shared vision — filled with little ones, big dreams, and a partnership built on friendship, laughter, and choosing each other every single day.

When we stand together on September 11, 2026, it won’t just mark the beginning of our story — it will be the celebration of a life already beautifully in motion.
